PRESSWe won our first medals at the 2010 New York Wine & Food Classic
We are so excited to announce that we won a Silver Medal for our King's Cab (2006) and a Bronze Medal for our 2008 Pinot Noir from the New York Wine & Food Classic, a premier wine competition for New York State wines. This was the first competition we've entered and we're really excited for the recognition. See, the Finger Lakes can make great reds, and something other than...Riesling.
The medals were determined by 24 expert judges—4 from California, 12 from New York, 6 from other states and 2 from the United Kingdom. Judges included prominent wine writers, restaurateurs, retailers, and wine educators.
But the best award of all is when YOU - our customer - tells us "this is the best tasting Cabernet Sauvignon". It showed, last year we sold out in 3 months. Also, having a Silver medal hanging from the neck of the bottle helps a little too. We’re a new, small estate winery eager to overcome the “new winery can’t make quality wine” stigma. Word-of-mouth, reviews and medals all help.
Thank you for your support and feedback on our wines!
